althrough we have got many interests and feedbacks in BioEnergy Asia,

the number confirmed exhibitors was not as many as we expected. and

the Indian pavilion, Brazil pavilion and California pavilion are also not

confirmed so far. In order to ensure a great events and maximum

propagandizing effect for every exhibitors, we decide to postponed the

BioEnergy Asia until we feel the number of exhibitors satisfied.

Asian International Biomass Energy Conference & Exhibition


Bioenergy, directly or indirectly derived from plant photosynthesis, is a

energy form that solar energy stored in biology in the form of chemical

energy. It is a carrier of energy in biomass which mainly refers to firewood,

agricultural and forestry crops, crop residues, animal wastes and other

waste. Biomass energy was extensive used. Such as that people use

corn as raw material for processing into fuel ethanol. Bio-energy has

great reserves in the world, only the annual bioenergy production from

plants in the earth equivalent to 20 times of the current human

consumption of fossil energy. Bioenergy, wind power and solar energy

are all renewable energy.

 

Recently, leaders from countries all over the world tabled a proposal

of developing bioenergy. Proposed by chief state ministries, the Asian

International Biomass Energy Conference & Exhibition, with the thems

of "New Countryside, new energy "

'The enormous potential of biomass has been ignored for political reasons.If we don't

fullly development and make use of bioenergy resources, Western industrial countries

may not be able to achieve the "Kyoto Protocol" which setting the goal of reducing

greenhouse gas emissions. By 2020, 15% of the electricity production of Western

industrial countries will come from the biomass power generation, while at present,

bio-energy power generation accounted for only 1% of the entire power production.By

that time, 100 million households of Westen countries will use electricity from biomass.

As well, the development and use of bioenergy resources will create about 400,000 jobs

positions.'

World Wide Fund for Nature

 'Bioenergy grew repidly in the French energy structure in the recent two years.Due to the

fast development of bioenergy, France is expected to meet the target of 50% renewable

energy output in 2010. To replace coal, oil and other traditional energy sources with

bioenergy can save 11 million tons of France's annual oil imports a few years later,

equivalent to the value of 2.5 to 3 billion euros. However, the cost of using biodiesel oil is

twice as high as petroleum, so the French government will provide financial support to

the promotion of bioenergy.'

'Sustainable gained bio-oil is the ideal alternative energy for petroleum. Rapeseed oil,

biological gasoline and alcohol fuels extracted from grain and sugar beet had gradually

become a replacement for fuel oil. bioenergy not only gains more popularity of in the

automotive industry, but also plays a important role in chemical, medicine and cosmetics

industry. German society calls people's attention to the use and development of

bioenergy. Many people believe that the promotion of bio-energy can not simply depends

on the market economy, but still need support from the government.'

 'In 2010, China's generating capacity of biomass power generation, biogas production,

forming solid fuel, non-food liquid fuels will reach 5.5 million kWh, 19 billion cubic

meters, one million tons and 1.2 million tons. While the figures will rise to 30 million KWh,

44 billion cubic meters, 50 million tons and 10 million tons respectively.'

'By 2030, about 14% of Germany's energy demands will from bioenergy. It is reported

that 16% of electricity, 10% of the heating requirements and 15% of the car fuel in

Germany may from bio-energy by the year of 2030.'

'To develope biomass energy in wasteland, the southern lawn, saline, will not compete

with others for grain, or compete with grain for land,and also can transferred the money

of 50 to 70 billion yuan which use to import oil from foreign companies to famers.

Therefore, the development of bio-nergy will ease pressure of energy shortage,increase

farmers' income and improve the ecological environment situations.'

'China wastes 200 million tons straw and 2.5 billion tons manure annually and may also

caused environmental pollution. A value of one trillion yuan can be generated if half of

the wastes can be used. China should actively develop related technologies to making the

wastes into chemicals. Meanwhile, China should plant some sweet sorghum, Jatropha

and other high bioenergy content plant to replace petroleum.'
